Despite all of the crankiness captain gives me, he still wants me to compete in a tournament, rather than some of the senpai who have been in the dojo longer.

He gave me some time to think on it and I'm kind of on the fence. Do I want to do that? My silver craft boss has already given the okay if I decide to go with it.

Obviously, the tournament is in Okinawa and it's in July. So there's time to actually train and everything. But he still wants the decision by Monday so I can start with the new regimen.

Man, this is weird.

It's just weird since I'm one of the youngest and the newest recruit. Sure, I am better than most of them, but still.

I might take you up on that. It's kinda hard on my own.

And yet I suspect not many of them have been training as long as you have. You might not have been at the same dojo as them for long, but you are likely to be their senior in martial arts.
